Biography
Kristopher Arheart, Ed.D., is an Associate Professor in the Division of Biostatistics in the Department of Public Health Sciences and the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Arheart is a collaborative biostatistician who provides statistical expertise for medical research in a variety of disciplines. He is currently working in the areas of HIV research as the CFAR statistician, pediatric obesity, hospital infection control, tobacco control, occupational health, ophthalmology, spinal cord injury, OBGYN, brain imaging, vector control, and comparative pathology. Dr. Arheart is the statistician on grants from NIMH, NINDS, NIAID, NIGMS, NIDA, NICHD, and CDC. His 40-year research career has resulted in over 270 peer reviewed publications. Dr. Arheart is also active in teaching classes in biostatistics and mentoring students and faculty. He has been on 32 MS and PhD committees as well as served as a mentor on K and F grants for faculty and students. Dr. Arheart is an ad hoc reviewer for nine journals and is an ad hoc member of the CDC NIOSH SOH study section. -
